Social media users have voiced their displeasure with the well-known rapper Wizkid after he was photographed enjoying a good time at an event in Ghana while the Nigerian presidential and parliamentary elections were taking place.
While Nigerians are performing their civic obligations by casting their ballots for their favorite candidates, the Grammy winner is seen in the video playing the drums joyfully in Ghana with other people.
Naturally, Nigeria’s presidential and National Assembly elections took place on February 25, 2023, and as of this writing, several states are still conducting the votes.
Wizkid’s idly silent response to the election angered Nigerians who had previously voiced their displeasure with Davido, Burna Boy, and other prominent musicians for their quiet.
The “Essence” singer reportedly attended KillBeatz’s (a Ghanaian music producer) mother’s funeral, though.
