Nigeria’s D’Tigers have significantly dropped in the most recent International Basketball Federation (FIBA) rankings, falling 18 positions to their present spot at 37th in the globe.

D’Tigers are now ranked sixth in Africa, which is indicative of their recent decline in performance. The team’s dismal result in the Lagos Olympic Games qualifiers for 2024 might be blamed for this drop.

Ivory Coast, Angola, and Tunisia make up the top four positions in the current African standings, with South Sudan now holding the top slot. Egypt, Cape Verde, Senegal, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are also among the top 10 teams in Africa.
